Tuna Pasta

When I lived in Berlin and worked in one of the big management consultancies of that time I was travelling all week. To keep me company on weekends and to have someone to look after my cat I came up with a great idea. For years I sub-let a room in my 1895 2nd floor gorgeous flat (all flats in Berlin are gorgeous) to students on internships or language trips.

One of those students was a chubby south Italian girl Andrea. She cooked like a goddess and introduced me to some of the best authentic Italian dishes that her mother cooked. One of them was Tuna Pasta. A great meal that you can get together in 5 minutes (plus pasta cooking time). All you need for 4 people is:

100g Spaghetti
1 can (150g) of tuna in oil
150g cherry tomatoes
70g Kalamata olives (pitted)
1 small red onion (optional)
a small bunch of flat leaf parsley

While your pasta is cooking halve tomatoes and olives, crumble tuna, dice the parsley. Dice and fry red onion. Drain the pasta and mix all other ingredients together with pasta in that pot. Leave for a minute to allow all the ingredients to warm through.

Done!
