One Sentence Journal # 194

Went food shopping in the morning into a village/town near by (20 walking minutes) – we had to walk through a field with corn (could just grab one and eat), flowers (just cut some and place the money into an honesty-box) … streets so clean I wouldn’t mind Henry eating food he might  drop (those who know me- can you imagine me saying that?)

While shopping we’ve come across shopping trolleys with magnifying glasses so that even those with poor sight could read the prise:-)

One Sentence Journal #35

Journalling: I think I might’ve just escaped a disaster today! Woke up after an a nap, went to boil a jug for a cup of tea, wondered why Henry is so greasily and without making my tea went upstairs to join Inese. And then I said:

- I was just about to have a cup of tea

- Don’t touch the jug I just poured de-scaler into  it

- I just boiled it!

- Couldn’t you smell chemicals?!

- My nose is blocked

- ???!!!

What would’ve happened if I drunk that “tea”?!

Topic du Jour: Lucky!

A pretty surprise

I just used a picture for the 11th February jounralling that I took with my iPhone earlier today. I post-processed it with the Camera+, but really just a little! Added flash, cropped it, applied cross-processed filter and added a thin black frame. When I went online to pick the link from fickr I was quite surprised about the quality, I was expecting a bit of a blurry, grainy image but actually was quite pretty, so I decided to share it with you in its beauty :-) (kidding!)

My iPhoneography Challenges

I’ve participated in several photographic challenges around the internet, just to keep me taking photos for my Documenting Life project. And I thought I should share them with you. I also will continue to update what I’ve done for each of my challenges. I may do it once a month or so – we’ll how it goes!

But let me start with my photo challenges.

I have chosen my personal bi-weekly photo prompts from the 365 project list of DSP. The first prompt was Newness:

Prompt for this and next week is: Breakfast

So, two major challenges are 52 photos in 52 weeks 2011 and MCP Project 52: Photo a Week.

In 52×52 challenge topics so far were:

Evening and Independence

EVENING

INDEPENDENCE

The MCP 52 weeks challenge is a bit more difficult I find. The number of people participating is ten times higher and a lot of them are professional photographers…

So far I’ve submitted photos for Shades of Grey and Illustrate a Song

SONG

I’m swimming towards the sun.

And I…I’m not the only one.

And I…I’m getting that feeling,

For everyone.
(Simple Minds)

SHADES OF GREY

Both of the projects have published their next challenges for week 4: Shadow (52×52) and … Soothing Repetition (!) by MCP 52. For the shadow topic – still waiting for some sunshine and soothing repetitions waiting for inspiration (aka AN Idea, just one would be OK to start with!

iPhoneography and me going a bit crazy

You probably already guessed that I am way into taking and post-processing pics on my iPhone now. On the positive – at the moment I am pretty much in the project 365 mood and my project Documenting Life will be quite easy to complete, at least for January:-)

On the negative: I think I might be changing perfectly fine shots to be a artist-y where there is no need for post-processing. At the moment everything is turned into a shot, somehow amended and posted on Instagram! If you already using it or decide to join – come and befriend me if you like (@me4sunny).

So, here is a fine example of how I  spend my day. Was it necessary? Or creative? Or has it enhanced the image? Don’t know – but I had great time doing it:-))) Continue reading
